A single 4 mm round brilliant moissanite, held in a closed bezel of 925 sterling silver, gold plated, on a 28 cm braided cord with a sliding closure.
Moissanite is silicon carbide. It was first identified in fragments from an Arizona meteorite crater in 1893 by Henri Moissan, who recorded the crystals as diamonds and took eleven more years to prove they were not. In nature it is so rare it has never been a jewellery material, so every gem-quality stone, including this one, is grown in a laboratory to the same chemistry.
It throws 2.4× the fire of a diamond — dispersion 0.104 against 0.044. A diamond is the harder stone, at 10 Mohs against 9.25.
No clasp, no sizing. Pull the cord to your wrist and it stays.
