Three stones at each end. Nothing to fasten.
In 1893 Henri Moissan pulled bright crystals from an Arizona meteorite crater and misread them. Today that mineral is grown in a lab. Six stones of it sit at the two ends of this cuff.
Six moissanites in closed bezels, on an open cuff of 925 sterling silver. Silver or gold plated.

Six pictures. One minute.
Something hit Arizona
An iron meteorite struck the high desert and left a crater three quarters of a mile across. It is still there.
Henri Moissan went looking
The chemist who first isolated fluorine, and who would win the Nobel Prize for it, began sifting fragments from the crater.
Crystals that threw color
They threw more fire than anything he had handled. He misread them. Crystal photograph: Beeblaine / Wikimedia Commons, CC BY 4.0.
He was wrong, and it was better
Eleven years of work proved them to be silicon carbide. In 1905 George Kunz named the mineral moissanite, after him.
Each stone in its own bezel
The stones are grown in a lab, never mined. At each end three step down from the tip, each closed in a smooth rounded bezel.
One wire, nothing to fasten
Small ridged collars join the bezels. One polished round wire runs between the two ends, with no clasp to fasten.
Side by side
Dispersion is how much color a stone throws. Moissanite throws more than a diamond does.
An illustration of dispersion. The measurements below are the real figures.
Choose one, or a pair
Silver or gold plated. One, or a pair. Pick a finish for each.
An open cuff with no clasp. It slides on at the side of the wrist and sits with the six stones on top. Nothing to fasten.

Two ends, on top of the wrist
The opening sits on top of the wrist, the two ends facing each other. Move your hand and the six stones throw color.
Up close, three stones at each end. Across the room, two small points of light at the top of the wrist.
Closed in a bezel, not held in prongs
Three round moissanites at each end, largest at the tip, each closed in a smooth rounded bezel. Nothing sticks out to catch a sleeve. Dispersion 0.104: the light that leaves them breaks into color.
A pair, one for each of you
Two cuffs: silver for one of you and gold plated for the other, or two the same. A mother and a daughter. Two sisters. The two of you.
