Before you choose

What is the stone?+
Moissanite. It is silicon carbide, a mineral in its own right, first found in a meteorite crater and now grown in a lab. It has unusually high dispersion, which is why the flash breaks into color. Each petal is one pear-cut moissanite, held in prongs.
Will it tarnish? How do I care for it?+
The silver is finished in rhodium, a hard white metal that keeps it bright far longer than bare silver. Put it on after perfume and lotion, take it off for pools and the sea, and wipe it with a soft cloth. Store it in its box.
Will it fit?+
Yes. The spring-ring clasp fastens anywhere along an extension chain, so it adjusts from snug to loose. If you are giving it, you do not need to know her size.
Is it for every day, or for occasions?+
Both. At about four grams of silver it is light enough for every day, and the 20 stones do their work in candlelight. Put it on for an occasion. See whether you take it off.
