The Mossante Infinity Bracelet floating on a warm ivory ground: a fine silver chain, a polished infinity figure with a row of tiny stones, and a small round stone on the chain on each side.

The Mossante Infinity Bracelet

Found in a crater. Worn as an infinity.

In 1893 Henri Moissan pulled bright crystals from an Arizona meteorite crater and misread them. That mineral is grown in a lab now. A row of it runs along this infinity.

Something hit Arizona

An iron meteorite struck the high desert and left a crater three quarters of a mile across. It is still there.

The chemist who first isolated fluorine, and who would win the Nobel Prize for it, began sifting fragments from the crater.

Eleven years of work proved them to be silicon carbide. In 1905 George Kunz named the mineral moissanite, after him.

Moissanite against diamond

Side by side

Dispersion is how much colour a stone throws. Moissanite throws more than a diamond does.

Two colourless round brilliant stones under one light. The stone on the left throws saturated orange, green and violet fire. The stone on the right stays cool and white.

Questions

Before you choose

Is moissanite just a fake diamond?+
No. It is its own mineral — silicon carbide — first found by Henri Moissan in an Arizona meteorite crater in 1893. It is not an imitation of anything, and it throws more fire than a diamond does: 0.104 against 0.044. The stones on this bracelet are grown in a lab, never mined.
Will it fit?+
It is one size, on a fine cable chain. If you are unsure about your wrist, or you are giving it, email info@mossante.com before you order and a person will tell you honestly whether it will suit.
What is it actually made of?+
A polished infinity of 925 sterling silver on a fine cable chain. One band carries a single row of small lab-grown moissanites; the other is plain. One more moissanite sits in a round bezel on the chain to each side. The stones are grown in a lab, never mined.
Will it tarnish? How do I care for it?+
Silver can darken with time, and perfume, lotion and pool water hurry it. Put it on last, take it off for pools and the sea, wipe it with a soft cloth, and keep it in its box.
Is it for every day, or for occasions?+
Every day first. An infinity on a fine chain stays out of the way at a desk or a steering wheel. It is a shape people give for a bond meant to last: a sister, a best friend, the two of you. Wear it to a birthday dinner; it still suits the Tuesday after.
When will it arrive, and what if it is not right?+
Free and tracked, to the US and worldwide. It ships within 2 to 5 business days, then allow 6 to 10 business days for delivery in the US; international orders can take a little longer. Then 30 days to send it back unworn in its box for a refund; return postage is yours.
How do I reach you, or order more than two?+
Email info@mossante.com. A person answers, usually within one working day. Write to the same address for a larger order or a change to your order. If it is a gift, tell us and we will leave the prices off the paperwork.
