What it is

Closed in a bezel, not held in prongs

One moissanite, sealed into a smooth rim of 925 sterling silver. Nothing sticks out to catch a sleeve, and there are no claws to bend open and drop the stone.

9.25 on the Mohs scale, harder than sapphire.

Why take three

One is a detail. Three is a decision.

Six cuts, in silver or gold plated. The chain is fine enough to layer, so three different cuts sit together on one wrist without bulk.

Moissanite against diamond

Side by side

Dispersion is how much color a stone throws. Moissanite throws more than a diamond does.

Two colourless round brilliant stones under one light. The stone on the left throws saturated orange, green and violet fire. The stone on the right stays cool and white.

Questions

Before you choose

When will it arrive, and what if it is not right?+
Free and tracked, to the US and worldwide. It ships within 2 to 5 business days, then allow 6 to 10 business days for delivery in the US; international orders can take a little longer. Then 30 days to send it back unworn in its box for a refund; return postage is yours.
Will it fit?+
One size. The clasp fastens into the extension chain, at one of its round rings, so it closes snug or a little looser. Nothing to measure, and nothing to send back for a swap.
Is moissanite just a fake diamond?+
No. It is its own mineral, silicon carbide, first found in an Arizona meteorite crater in 1893. It is not an imitation of anything, and it throws more fire than a diamond does: 0.104 against 0.044. The stone on this chain was grown in a lab, never mined.
Which cut should I choose?+
Round and oval are the soft, classic shapes. Marquise and pear run long along the chain, the marquise the slimmest of the six. Emerald is step cut, with long flat facets that flash; radiant has the same cut-corner outline with small facets that sparkle. Three bracelets can be three cuts.
Gold plated or silver: which one?+
Look at what is already on your hands and ears. If it is warm-toned, choose gold plated; if it is white metal, choose silver. Both are 925 sterling silver underneath, with the same stone. Three bracelets can mix both.
Will the plating wear? How do I care for it?+
The gold plated finish wears with time, and perfume, lotion and pool water hurry it. Put it on last, take it off for pools and the sea, wipe it with a soft cloth, and keep it in its box.
How do I reach you, or order more than six?+
Email info@mossante.com. A person answers, usually within one working day. Write to the same address for a larger order or a change to your order. If it is a gift, tell us and we will leave the prices off the paperwork.
